Public Image Ltd. (PiL) announce their 11th and first studio Album in 8 years, 'End Of World,' which will be released on August 11, 2023. The band began writing and recording 'End Of World' in 2018 during their 40th-anniversary tour. After the long break, the band reunited in the studio and 'there was just this massive explosion of ideas,' Lydon reports. The result is that PiL will release 13 of the best tracks they have ever written. Earlier this year, PiL already released 'Hawaii,' the most personal piece John Lydon has ever written. The song is a love letter to John's late wife Nora, who had been suffering from Alzheimer's for a long time and unfortunately passed away on April 5 of this year. A thoughtful, personal, and yet universal love song that has resonated with many since its release in January. In the song, John reflects on their life together, particularly one of their happiest moments in Hawaii. The powerful and emotional ballad is as close to Lydon's inner self as ever before. 'The song is dedicated to anyone going through difficult times on life's journey with the person they hold most dear,' says John. 'It's also a message of hope that love ultimately conquers all. As I say in the song, all journeys come to an end, and some begin again, but this is the start of a new journey with us. And strangely, as terrible as Alzheimer's disease is, there are moments of great tenderness between us. And I've tried to capture that in the song.'
