IDLES, hailing from Bristol (UK), have announced their upcoming fifth Album, TANGK. TANGK, the 11-track follow-up to their Grammy-nominated Album CRAWLER, was co-produced by Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, The Smile, Beck), Mark Bowen, Kenny Beats (Denzel Curry, Vince Staples, Benee), and the band themselves. TANGK - pronounced 'Tank' with a touch of 'G' and an onomatopoeic reference to the whipping guitar sound that the band imagined as a sort of seal for love in life - is the band's most ambitious and impressive Album to date.

IDLES are one of the strongest Rock bands of the last decade. Godrich, Beats, and Bowen were also a brilliant trio for IDLES, pushing them into new territory and then reining them in when necessary. TANGK is simultaneously expansive and focused, imaginative and immediate. About the Album, lead singer Joe Talbot says, 'TANGK. I needed love. So, I made it. I gave love to the world, and it feels like magic. This is our Album of gratitude and power. All love songs. Everything is love.'

Where IDLES once aimed to taunt the world, challenge the perpetually outdated, and exorcise personal traumas in real-time, they have arrived in this new act to offer the fruits of such persistence: love, joy, and indeed gratitude for the mere possibility of existence. This music thrives not in spite of our problems, but because of them. If we don't take care of ourselves and each other, TANGK seems to proclaim in one massive hook after another, then who will?
